CSR Heroes

In our work, we use the word Hero in the classic sense derived from Ancient Greek meaning to; Protect and Serve the Community’ we live in.

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a “Movement aimed at encouraging companies to be more aware of the impact of their business on the rest of society, including their own stakeholders and the environment. CSR should be part of a corporation’s strategy i.e. an approach that contributes to sustainable development by delivering economic, social, and environmental benefits all stakeholders – and not see it as an ‘add on’ activity. The way it is interpreted and implemented differs greatly for each company.

Whatever the definition is, the purpose of CSR is to drive change towards sustainability for the community at large. It is the responsibility of every business to balance profit-making activities with impactful activities that benefit society to have a positive relationship with the society in which they operate.

Our purpose at CSR Heroes is to work with each organisation in the public and private sector to encourage optimisation of CSR budgets to have a genuine positive impact on society through; alignment of thinking, integration of activities and engagement of all key stakeholders. Many of the heroes in society are often ignored or overlooked due to their disabilities or differences from what is considered the “norm”. Our vision is to ensure that no-one person is left behind.

We are based in the Kingdom of Bahrain where we have the freedom to live by our values of:

Equality

Driving change

 Acceptance

Survival

Integration

Our main photographer for our events is a special and talented young man called Yousif Hayat. Under our wing, he is treated as any other team member and deliverables are expected in a timely manner.

For each project due to the vast area to be covered, a professional production company is hired where Yousif is absorbed as part of the onsite team with specific tasks from the film director to upgrade his quality of work. We are proud that Yousif has since been recognised for his achievements by the UNIC and MoSD in Bahrain.

Our greater ambition is to take our CSR Heroes movement across the wider GCC.
